Sign in to vote. My current OS is Windows 7 Professional bit. Previously, I managed to share files between that system with my previous system which is a Windows XP Professional SP3 bit after much tweaking, headaches and heart aches, blood, sweat and tears.

SP3 kind of make everything more difficult but it is for security reasons and I can appreciate that. I also cannot put my current system on that AD domain because it is a different network.

I do understand this is a built in security feature that file sharing only on systems in the same domain. Still transferring files using an external hard disk is just not feasible and I do need to sync the files on the two systems. So any advices on how I can share files, other than migrating to Open Solaris or Fedora???
