I have always been able to upgrade laptops, desktops etc. Usually they will not let you "downgrade". Until Now. So I just reinstalled the home premium 64bit the os that the computer came with. Hopefully some of the windows updates will help you with your issues. But don't look to Sony for any help.

They suck! For what it is worth, the computer is a great computer, great video card, good graphics, with software the BluRay DVD player is good. Lots of great features.
