In Notepad, click Find on the Edit menu. Stop logging. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem; but here is what I found out. I got this straight from a Sony Tech. Apparently they authorized techs got a memo advising them of this. No luck. No help from Sony. I tried a clean install, and upgrade, putting the drivers on first. Remember Sony has nothing to do with Windows. They are two separate companies with different interests.
Windows ordinarily is upgradable on computersf. I have been using windows pc's since when Windows 95 first came out. I have always been able to upgrade laptops, desktops etc. Usually they will not let you "downgrade". Until Now. So I just reinstalled the home premium 64bit the os that the computer came with. Hopefully some of the windows updates will help you with your issues. But don't look to Sony for any help.
They suck! For what it is worth, the computer is a great computer, great video card, good graphics, with software the BluRay DVD player is good. Lots of great features.
